About Roman Khodykin
Roman Khodykin is a Partner at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) in Dubai and one of the field's leading international arbitration practitioners. He acts as both counsel and arbitrator in complex cross-border disputes — particularly in the energy sector and shareholder conflicts — before the world's major arbitral institutions, including ICSID, LCIA, ICC, DIFC and the AAA.
He holds a PhD in Conflict of Laws, is a Solicitor Advocate in England & Wales and a Russian advocate, and has rights of audience before the AIFC Court in Kazakhstan. Roman is a Visiting Professor at the Centre for Commercial Law, Queen Mary University of London, and lectures at the University of Cambridge. In 2019 he was named "Lawyer of the Year" for International Arbitration by Best Lawyers.
